FUSS Christmas Fair – Saturday

From 2006 to 2010, I was a councillor for Lee Green ward in the London Borough of Lewisham. During that time, I blogged regularly and in 2009 I won the Tim Garden Award for the Best Blog by a Liberal Democrat Holding Public Office. My blog posts from my term of office are archived here in case they prove of use to former constituents, or to those who share my annoyance with faulty street furniture

The Friends and Users of Staplehurst Shops are holding their annual Christmas Fair this Saturday from 12-6 on Staplehurst Road.

This is always a really good event, and this year there’ll be:

* FATHER CHRISTMAS * TREE LIGHTING *
* RAFFLE PRIZES * VARIOUS STALLS *
* CAROL SINGING * BALLOON MAN *
* BRASS BAND MUSIC *
* MULLED WINE * MINCE PIES *

If anyone’s got any good quality bric-a-brac and unwanted books – please deliver to Matthew Hassett at the Station Pub tomorrow!

The Christmas Fair also means the 273 bus will be diverted on Saturday – by the look of the signs, it’s going to continue along Manor Park to Manor Lane, so won’t be serving Staplehurst or Fernbrook on Saturday.
