From 2006 to 2010, I was a councillor for Lee Green ward in the London Borough of Lewisham. During that time, I blogged regularly and in 2009 I won the Tim Garden Award for the Best Blog by a Liberal Democrat Holding Public Office. The annual Lee Green Open Studios weekends are coming up. Artists and designers around the ward will be opening their doors this weekend (14th/15th November) and the weekend after (21st/22nd), 12noon until 7pm on Saturdays, 12noon until 6pm on Sunday.

Open Studios is now in its tenth year and is well worth a visit, either to pick up Christmas gifts or just to see the huge variety of talent we have living alongside us!
