We’ve been contacted by the Council regarding a small amount of double yellow-lining they wish to install at the junction of Southbrook and Wantage Roads.
The proposal is to install 10 metres of double yellow lining in either direction round the junction of the two roads. Double yellow lines prohibit waiting at any time, and officers consider that this will:
- ease access routes for emergency services and refuse vehicles;
- improve road safety at by ensuring that drivers’ sight-lines are not blocked by parked vehicles;
- improve crossing for pedestrians.
