I lived and grew up in this area until I married. My parents still live in Longhurst Road. They are both now elderly and my father disabled. I refuse to pay more money to visit them! I don't have it! And I cannot find anywhere else to park within walking distance - although I also have athritus (but not too bad, yet!) I work in Eltham and it would be best for us all if I called in after work 2/3 times a week - but the cpz lasts until 7pm - why. Lewisham says it;s to stop station parking. We all know station/commuters park in the mornings to go to work. The zone is only needed from 7 to say 11am. Obviously Lewisham see it as a money earner. If any one has to pay it should be the train users or the train companies - they are causing the situation by parking (to make their life easier and cheaper) but the residents foot the bill.
