Yes, the new Lewisham Speakers Club is being launched next Wednesday. I am very excited about it. We have lots of friendly people attending and a good exciting evening planned. Lewisham was where I grew up and having returned here at the end of last year, I was disappointed to find there was no speakers club. I have been a member of Toastmasters for 18 years, mostly in Bromley, and I have seen hundreds of people grow amazingly in their confidence. I believe Lewisham deserves to have a club like this too.
